At Bizarre Sportswear, product quality starts with fabric quality.
When manufacturing custom sportswear, team uniforms, cycling jerseys, running apparel, and activewear, fabric performance is just as important as garment construction. One of the most critical factors is colorfastness—the ability of a fabric to maintain its color during use, washing, sweating, and exposure to sunlight.
To ensure the reliability of our materials, we recently submitted a red diamond-pattern woven fabric for independent laboratory testing by Bureau Veritas, one of the world's leading testing, inspection, and certification organizations.
Fabric Information
Fabric Composition:
- 92% Polyester
- 8% Elastane
Fabric Type:
- Red Diamond Pattern Woven Fabric
The fabric is suitable for a variety of sportswear applications including:
- Custom Sportswear
- Team Uniforms
- Running Apparel
- Training Wear
- Activewear
- OEM Sportswear Production
Testing Results
The fabric successfully passed all required performance tests.
Colorfastness to Rubbing
Color transfer caused by friction is a common concern for sportswear.
The fabric achieved excellent results in both dry and wet rubbing tests, demonstrating strong resistance to color transfer during daily wear and athletic activities.
Colorfastness to Water
Sportswear is frequently exposed to moisture during training and competition.
The tested fabric showed excellent resistance to color change and staining after water exposure.
Colorfastness to Perspiration
Athletes expect their garments to perform under intense physical activity.
The fabric passed both acidic and alkaline perspiration tests, confirming strong color stability when exposed to sweat.
Colorfastness to Sea Water
For sportswear used in coastal environments, outdoor events, and water-related activities, sea water resistance is important.
The fabric maintained excellent color performance after sea water testing.
Colorfastness to Light
Sunlight exposure can cause fading over time.
The Bureau Veritas report confirmed good light fastness performance, helping ensure long-lasting color appearance for outdoor sportswear applications.
Pilling Resistance
The fabric achieved a Grade 4-5 result in the Modified Martindale Pilling Test, indicating excellent resistance to surface fuzzing and pilling.
This helps garments maintain a cleaner and more professional appearance throughout their lifespan.
Azo Dye Safety Testing
The fabric also passed azo dye testing.
No restricted azo dyes were detected above regulatory limits, supporting compliance with international textile safety requirements.
