From Website Inquiry to Delivery: Helping a Spanish Rugby Club Create Their First Custom Dye-Yarn Rugby Polo

Project Snapshot

Customer Background

On March 4, 2026, we received an inquiry through the Bizarre Sports website from one client, a member of a rugby club in Spain.

Project Snapshot

The club wanted to create a unique dye-yarn rugby polo that reflected its own identity. Irene had a clear vision for the design, but she also told us that she was unfamiliar with garment manufacturing and custom apparel development.

This is something we encounter quite often. Many of our customers are experts in their own sports, schools or clubs—not in clothing production. Our role is to make the custom process clear, practical and easy to follow.

Turning Ideas into Clear Production Requirements

Instead of asking the customer to prepare technical specifications, Rachel, our Production Manager, guided the project step by step.

Using physical yarn color cards, Irene was able to select the exact colors she wanted for the rugby polo.

To avoid misunderstandings, Rachel also shared examples of rugby polos we had produced previously, allowing the customer to compare different stripe widths and choose the style that best matched the club’s vision.

Together, we confirmed every important production detail, including collar construction, logo application, sizing and production schedule before manufacturing began.

For custom dye-yarn products, these discussions are essential because the fabric is knitted specifically for each project and cannot simply be adjusted after production starts.

Building Trust Through Face-to-Face Communication

After several weeks of communication by email and WhatsApp, we invited Irene to a Zoom meeting on April 7, 2026.

During the meeting, Rachel presented production samples, explained the dye-yarn manufacturing process, discussed delivery expectations and answered every question about the project.

The conversation also helped us better understand the club’s timeline and priorities, allowing us to recommend the most suitable production and shipping plan.

By the end of the meeting, every key detail had been confirmed, and both sides felt confident moving forward.

Confidence Before Production

Just six days after the Zoom meeting, on April 13, 2026, Irene completed 100% payment for the order, rather than paying only a production deposit.

For us, this was more than a payment milestone. It reflected the trust that had been built through patient communication, transparent planning and professional guidance throughout the development process.

Keeping the Customer Informed

Once production started, communication continued.

Throughout manufacturing, Rachel regularly shared progress updates, production photos and manufacturing milestones with Irene through WhatsApp.

Instead of wondering about the status of the order, the customer could clearly see how the project was progressing at every stage.

This level of transparency gave the club confidence while their rugby polos were being produced.

Making International Shipping Simple

Like many first-time buyers, Irene was unfamiliar with customs clearance and international logistics.

Based on the project’s requirements, Rachel recommended a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Door-to-Door shipping solution, allowing the club to receive the goods without having to arrange customs clearance themselves.

Our goal was not only to manufacture high-quality products, but also to make the entire purchasing experience straightforward and stress-free.

The Final Result

The finished rugby polos arrived in Spain at the end of May 2026.

Project Snapshot

Irene told us that the club was very satisfied with both the quality of the garments and the overall experience—from the first website inquiry to the final delivery.

For us, this project was another reminder that successful custom manufacturing is about more than producing great apparel. It is about listening carefully, communicating clearly and helping customers make confident decisions throughout every stage of the process.

What We Learned

Every custom sportswear project is different.

Some customers have years of sourcing experience, while others are ordering custom apparel for the very first time.

Rather than expecting customers to understand garment manufacturing, we believe it is our responsibility to simplify the process, provide practical guidance and communicate openly from the initial inquiry to final delivery.

At Bizarre Sports, we don’t simply manufacture custom sportswear.

We help customers confidently turn their ideas into products.
